Important notes below:
Please read prior to application.
Application dates are from the start of December until the following February.
The link to the application form is below.

While we do not expect you to know the precise details of your intended performance at this point, we do ask that you please be as realistic as possible about what your set may involve, and please keep us informed of any changes to your intended setup as indicated here, to aid in our planning of the concerts.

A Live Recording link, preferably video, is required in order that we can hear your music otherwise we request you email us at nickdrakegathering@gmail.com and attach a file with your email introduction. You can also send us a Dropbox link. A recording via actual post is also available, but only on request and only if no digital option is possible.

If you already know which song you prefer to play, you can fill in your song request along with your introduction on the form.
If you are coming from abroad also please let us know there.

If you have any other requests, for example needing to perform earlier or later in the evening due to transport or work, you can also let us know there. This will not affect our decision.

Friday (Village hall, evening):

The more informal of the two concerts, Folk Club style, in front of a mixed - seated and standing - audience. Performances take place on a raised stage area. By applying to perform on this date, you indicate that you agree to the following:

Each artist/band may perform a maximum of two songs, at least one of which must be in some way relevant to Nick Drake – e.g. a song by Nick Drake, one covered by him, written about/ inspired by Nick Drake, or a cover of one of Drake’s own songs. The other song is of your own choice and can be one of your own as long as it is befitting of the event. Please contact us if wish to discuss your selection. Total performance time per band/artist, should be no longer than 10 minutes.

Saturday (Church, afternoon):

A more formal concert, in front of a seated audience. Performers for this concert will be required to be available for sound-check from 2pm (concert begins at 4.30pm).

By applying to play on this date, you indicate that you agree to the following:

Maximum performance time, per artist/band, is 10 minutes in total, and a maximum of two songs, at least one of which MUST be a Nick Drake song. For the other song we'd prefer another Nick Drake or Nick Drake related song, but it can also be one of your own choice and can be one of your own as long as it is befitting of the event.

Please enter your choice of preferred performance date in the check boxes where applicable.

By selecting a first and/or second choice above, you indicate that you would be willing and available to perform at either of the two concerts. If you are unavailable or unwilling to perform on one of the dates, please indicate the date you wish to perform as your 1st choice, and leave the 2nd choice blank. Please note that indicating only a 1st choice will NOT make it any more likely that you will be selected for your 1st choice than if you had also included a 2nd choice – the only difference it will make is that if it is not possible to include you in the line-up for your 1st choice, you will not be considered for the other concert.

Please return complete the online form completed between 1st December and end of February. Any application received before 1st December will not be counted.

Applications received the end of February will be considered for a place on the waiting list.

While we will take your preference into account, the line-up for each concert will be decided according to the suitability of each application for the concert applied for (i.e., not on a ‘first come, first served’ basis).

We can only consider applications which have been made by submitting this form - no applications made by any other means are valid.

If you encounter any issues with the form, please let us know. If there are any other issues or concerns, please let us know as well. Thank you.
